Fayose gives two-month ultimatum to landlords without toilet



Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose has read riot act to landlords and landladies whose houses are without toilets in any part of the state to make amends or face the consequences.

The governor spoke while featuring on his monthly Radio and Television programme tagged “Meet your Governor” in Ado-Ekiti yesterday. He issued a two months ultimatum to the defaulters to provide the facility in their homes or face prosecution. The ultimatum will elapse on February 2015.

She was spotted some fortnight ago at an event with these two fair-skinned ladies hanging around her like bees would do beehives. They would pause at a corner while she exchanged pleasantries with friends and dignitaries. What's really going on there, Linda? LOL!

2015: Osinbajo takes campaign to BRT buses

Ine and Simeon will wed traditionally on the 3rd of January 2015 in Bayelsa state. The church wedding will
be in Abuja on January 10, Bellanaija has reported.

Ine’s sister, Faith Sakwe and Edward got married on 12th April this year. The bride-to-be was also adopted by the President when she was young.

Tunisia arrests blogger, Yassine Ayari for 'defarming' army officers



Tunis – Tunisian authorities have arrested a blogger who has been critical of the party of newly elected president Beji Caid Essebsi, as he returned home from France, his lawyer said Thursday.

Yassine Ayari, 33, was detained overnight at Tunis-Carthage airport and whisked to jail in line with a court verdict pronounced against him last month.

Hundreds of intending passengers were today, 25th December, stranded at the two domestic Lagos airports over hike in fares by airline operators. The operators capitalised on the Christmas rush to increase their fares.
NAN reports that the air ticket for an hour flight currently ranged from N30, 000 to N43, 000, depending on the carrier.

The Police Command in Kano State on Wednesday said it had arrested one of the female suicide bombers, who attacked Kantin Kwari Market, Kano, on Dec. 10.

The Police Commissioner in the state, Mr Aderenle Shinaba, confirmed the arrest of the 13-year-old girl, one Zahara’u Babangida, while briefing newsmen in Kano.

2 arrested with human skull; 4 robbery suspects die in auto crash



Police detectives have arrested two suspected ritual murderers with a human skull on the Ibillo-Isua Expressway in Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Also, four armed robbers met their death in an auto crash after attacking a team of policemen, while on patrol on the Idanre Road in Akure metropolis.

About 100 more soldiers are to be court-martialled by the Nigerian military for a number of offences relating to the on-going fight against Boko Haram terrorists.

An online journal, Premium Times reported that its sources disclosed that  118 soldiers have been transported from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, to face charges in Abuja, a week after 54 soldiers were sentenced to death for refusing to fight Boko Haram.

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked a group of five United Nations human rights independent experts to individually and jointly use their “good offices and positions to urgently request the Nigerian government and its military authorities not to carry out the mass death sentences imposed on 54 Nigerian soldiers for what the government claimed was disobeying a direct order from their commanding officer.”

Baby falls off mum's back, crushed by truck



A heavy duty truck, conveying crates of soft drinks, yesterday, at the Okorodafe Roundabout in Ughelli, Delta State, crushed a four-month-old baby girl, who had fallen off the back of her mother travelling on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as Okada.

According to witnesses, the mother of the baby, who is in her 30s and simply identified as Ese, was said to have been struggling to adjust the wrapper with which she strapped the baby to her back, while the Okada was in motion.

A bomb explosion, today, ripped through the Central Market in Bauchi.

The number of casualities cannot be ascertained yet, but eyewitnesses said that many people were killed with many others injured.
