Chief Emami |
Delta State Labour Party, LP, gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2015 polls, Chief Great Ogboru, has said that the Akulagba of Warri Kingdom and frontline Niger Delta activist, Chief Ayirimi Emami, was not happy with ethnic bigotry in Delta State contrary to speculations.
Ogboru,
when he led Sir Richard Odibo and other supporters on a consultative visit to
Chief Emami at Ugbuwangue in Warri, noted that Deltans were fed up with ethnic
bigotry and blamed ethnic sentiments in the state on deprivation, stressing
that what people desired in the state was equal opportunity.
Chief
Ogboru, who described Chief Emami “as one of his enemies,” said he (Emami) “is
a very important figure in the area,” hence we came to consult with him.
On the
possibility of Urhobos in Delta Central splitting their votes between him and
Olorogun O’tega Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the
governorship election, Chief Ogboru, said: “Urhobos know who I am. They know
who has the vote and who can win the election.”
