Fly mobile phone enters Nigerian market

Nigeria’s discerning consumers have just been given a new and attractive option when buying premium mobile phones, with the entrance of a leading European mobile player, Fly, into the country’s lucrative mobile phone market.

Speaking at the launch of the mobile phone in Lagos, Nitin Sood, Managing Director, Fly MEA said: “West Africa, and Nigeria in particular, is a strategic new market for Fly, with its growing demand for smartphones, and we are excited to enter this market with First Choice as our partner, which will further help us penetrate the Nigerian market.”

“Fly was the number one selling smartphone in Russia in 2013, a top performer in many European markets, and has been doing exceptionally well this year in the Arabian Gulf states. With its commitment to style, functionality, and advanced technology, Fly has created a brand that has set new global benchmarks in the mobile industry”, he added.

He said that the new product range – a series of six power-packed smartphones and three feature phones, designed with the world’s very latest technology for an unparalleled user experience – will soon be available across Nigeria.

Abdul Jabbar, Vice-President, Marketing, Fly MEA said: “Fly is a challenger brand, and we are bringing our latest handsets which are technologically advanced and stylish and are sure to appeal to the consumers in Nigeria. And, given the global demand shown for our new range, we believe that there will also be demand here for premium quality mobile phones at reasonable prices.
