Countdown to "The Headies" 2014, holds on 14th Decemeber


The Headies (Hip Hop World Awards) made its entry into the Nigerian music scene in 2006 with the objective of rewarding genuine talent and hard work. This objective has been carried out to the later. The Headies continually sets the standard when it comes to Nigerian music award shows. Asides what it represents in the music industry, it is also aesthetically something to desire. The Headies plaque itself is a 21 carat gold statue.



Testimonies from past nominees and winners buttress the fact that; if you’ve never been nominated for or won an Award at The Headies (Hip Hop World Awards) then you are yet to cement your place in the Nigerian music scene. The Headies has become the yard stick by which the quality of Nigerian music is judged. As a result of this, The Headies has earned the respect and patronage of numerous stakeholders from diverse sectors.

This year, 2014, The Headies holds on Sunday, 14th December at Eko Hotels and Suits. The awards will be hosted by Toke and Bovi.
