Brazilian
soccer legend Pele is out of intensive care and able to walk around as he
recovers from a kidney problem, the Sao Paulo hospital treating him said
Tuesday.
“The
patient Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Pele) is doing well without medical
complications. He is able to walk around his room. Following clinical analyses
resuming renal assistance was not necessary,” the Albert Einstein clinic said
in a statement, adding the 74-year-old is now receiving “semi-intensive” care.
