A
governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs.
Modupe Chukwuemeka, Monday, withdrew from the race as voting was about to
commence in the primary exercise to pick who would fly the party’s flag at the
2015 election.
Earlier, Dr.
Adegbola Dominic had announced his withdrawal from the race.
Announcing
her decision, Chukwuemeka, who recalled that she joined the race based on the
outcry from non-indigenes and also to champion the cause of women, pointed out
that every other aspirant on the party’s platform was capable of addressing the
issues as she would do.
She,
therefore, promised to work with whoever emerged as the PDP standard bearer, so
that the party can win at the general election in 2015.
