Mainly for putting down the inspirational thoughts that I get from time to time in the aspects of politics, love and relationship, culture and tradition, and life in general. BUT THEN in order to keep you busy on the blog, I've got to bring you updates from Nigeria and the World. NOT forgetting Entertainment news and gossips once in a while. LOL! Welcome to my thoughts!

Combs, hairbrushes, spoons, others, siezed at the entrance of "The Experience" venue
Last night, Tafawa Balewa Square(TBS), Lagos was crammed with people for the biggest musical concert in Africa, THE EXPERIENCE.
It was indeed an experience as the crowd of over 500,000 people sang with one voice with prominent international and local gospel singers.
But one thing; due to the insecurities experienced in the country in recent time, appropriate measures had to be put in place to ensure the safety of the people in attendance. People got thoroughly searched before they were allowed in the venue. And items like combs, spoons, hairbrushes were being seized if found.
I'm yet to understand why someone would concentrate on searching females' bags looking out for combs, spoons, hairbrushes, etc. I didn't know that combs can also serve the purpose of explosives or is there something I'm not getting right?
What is funnier is the disrespectful attitude which the owners of the items received. One would actually think they committed some big offense. What is furthermore funnier was the fact that there were other entrances where people went in freely with no security personnel in sight to conduct any search, plus the seized items were stuffed in a big Ghana-must-go bag and the owners advised to come back for them after the concert, worse still, no form of identifications were given. So how sure are we that someone wouldn't go there and pick what did not belong to them? Plus how would one manage to go searching for a comb in a big bag like that with all that crowd that would be trooping out after the show.
Meanwhile, food vendors were allowed in there and they served people with plastic forks which I think were no less harmful than hairbrushes.
Other than these, the show was excellently organized.
Now, for ladies hoping to attend the show next year and subsequent years, please, ensure your hairbrushes stay intact at home unless you are ready to give them away.
